ADVISING SCHOOLS

At Wey we believe that it is possible to provide the same standard of teaching or better, for less money, using our expertise to manage schools more efficiently. 

In addition to our consultants, we have an extensive network of industry advisors and specialists; we advise clients on how schools could be run in order to improve educational standards and achievements, predominantly through the following services:

  • Leadership and Transformation Training – training the senior teams in schools about leadership, 21st century learning and school improvement
  • Inspection and Improvement Services – utilising the Ofsted framework to achieve better schools and better inspection results.
  • Parental Engagement Development Services – developing whole system approaches and individual school action plans.
  • Collaboration – through economies of scale, expertise, knowledge, innovation, problem sharing and purchased services, such as educational psychology and welfare, admissions, training and development.
  • Back Office Services – schools finance, human resources, information technology, facilities management, administration; to include catering, Governor support and joint procurement.

Academies and Free Schools

With our specialist knowledge and highly experienced consultants, Wey can facilitate the conversion to Academy status and support interested groups to become academy sponsors.

Wey Education really enjoys working with Free School proposers. We offer a menu of support in preparing the application, in providing significant services in the opening and running of schools and we are always open to discussing new approaches!

Groups of Schools

With the changing structure of school status there exists a wonderful opportunity for networks or clusters of schools to outsource services to a centralised supplier, benefiting from cost-savings and improved quality.

At Wey we have the contacts, suppliers and education business service systems to manage resources efficiently. Wey can help co-ordinate buying clubs and assist with establishing economies of scale, to ensure effective use of resources allowing schools to devote the savings to teaching and learning.
